      International school’s graduates maintained a high employment rate in 2011

      The 2011 JUFE Graduates Employment Conference was held in the conference room of the General Building on 10th October, 2011. The International School maintained a high employment rate and was awarded “JUFE’s Advanced Unit for Employment” and “JUFE’s Employment Objective Award”. JUFE’s teachers Wang Minghua from International Business, Xia Xianfeng and Zhou Kuangxian from International Accounting, and Gong Meijun from International Finance, were awarded “JUFE’s Outstanding Class Teachers for Employment”.

      This year, JUFE’s graduates have achieved remarkable results in employment. With a regular employment rate of 62.13%, JUFE ranks first in Jiangxi Province, and has exceeded 60% for the first time. Employment on contract has reached 90.2%, being second in the province. In addition, the average employment rate for the International School is 77.32% - 15.2% higher than that of the whole university; and its rate for employment on contract is 91.05%. Moreover, the regular employment rates for the classes of 07 International Accounting 1, 07 International Business 3, 07 International Accounting 4, 07 International Finance 4 and 07 International Accounting 3 are among the top ten at JUFE. It is noteworthy that a total of 191 graduates from the International School (31% of graduates) received offers from overseas universities including Cambridge, to study for master’s degrees. Not only is the School’s rate of employment high, but also many jobs are at graduate level, making it JUFE’s attractive selling point.In 2011, 627 students graduated from the International School (out of a University total of 4,479 graduating students), making it the highest number ever since the School’s inception. Through a programme of internationalisation - of teacher qualities, education, and learning environment - the School nurtures talents with integrity in international economics and administration. With the firm belief that ‘employment is a project and a collective aim’, the International School focuses on the quality of teaching to generally raise student standards and improve competitiveness for employment. At the same time, the School is also devoted to widening job opportunities in the labour market, and to offering more job and fieldwork opportunities for its students, thus achieving its five aims of thoroughness, fully-staffed, specialisation, information-led, and people-centred.
